Lunchonme

Lunchonme is a network of friends and acquaintances who benefit from an introductory meeting over lunch. In stead of sharing your contacts details, or connecting them through LinkedIn, Lunchonme offers a simple & fun platform where two of your contacts are connected over lunch, while the you pick up their bill.

During our try-out, a small group of individuals & organisations are selected to try this new service and to start inviting people for lunch. In early 2023, Lunchonme aims to roll out to a general public.

Lunchonme is a pay-it-forward model … once you have been invited; you can start inviting invitees yourself.

 

Try-Out

As of yet, Lunchonme is available as try-out; invitation only. If you have received an invitation, your invite is strictly personal and can only be redeemed with the email address known to us.

Lunchonme try-out lunches are all served at Cafe Restaurant Amsterdam, in Amsterdam, NL, — between November 2022 and January 2023—. Lunches are served between 12noon and 2pm.

 

Inviters

If you have received an Inviter invitation you can invite two people in your network for Lunchonme through this website. We charge a €75,= pre-payment (IDEAL Payment through mollie.nl) for all lunches including a €3,= service fee. The remainder of the actual lunch cost and your prepayment will be refunded into your account, within a week after lunch. You will receive a copy of the lunch bill by email to prove the lunch costs. If you choose the no-refund option, you will receive a copy of the lunch bill by email to prove the lunch costs.

For this try-out the remainder will be spent wisely on a non-profit cause. When the try-out phase has been finished the total of the remaining amount plus the good cause will be announced by Lunchonme.

Lunchonme sends email invitations to two people of your choice; you will receive a copy of the invitation as well as a notification once they have booked their lunch.

 

Invitees

Upon receiving their invitations, Invitees have a 6 week window to book their lunch. If no lunch is booked within 6 weeks, we contact Inviter again offer to reimburse your prepayment, service fee excluded, or book a new Lunchonme date at said venue. Once a lunch is booked, Invitees receive a confirmation email & a Lunchonme QR code. Lunches are settled / payed for, by showing the QR code at the booked restaurant.

 

Cancellations / NoShows

In principle, all lunch bookings are final. However, in agreement with the venue, Invitees may cancel their reservation —free of charge— until 9:00am on the day of lunch. In case of a NoShow, we deduct €10,= per person plus service fee from the Inviter prepayment. If only one Invitee shows up, the Invitee may have lunch on its own. If the Invitees decides not to have lunch on its own, the condition of No-show or late cancellation will be followed.

The legal right of withdrawal for consumers does not apply to reservations placed or the purchase of a Lunchonme.

Force Majeure

If, in case of force majeure, the lunch cannot take place or is delayed, Lunchonme.nl, the Inviter nor the Invitees are mutually not liable for damages suffered by the other as a result.

Payment

On the website Lunchonme.nl it is stated under which conditions a payment is made, whether cancellation and refund is possible and until when. The Inviter is offered the option to reclaim or waive the remainder of the lunch. If the Inviter chooses to refund the remaining amount Lunchonme will refund this amount as soon as possible via the used payment method Ideal.
Lunchonme.nl will clearly communicate to which charity the remaining amount will be donated.

Liability

Lunchonme is not liable for the quality of the lunch in the restaurant concerned, nor for any injury or damage, incurred via the website Lunchonme.nl or at the restaurant concerned.
